On the morning of August 11, 2017 Chenzhou (autumn) beautiful rural tourism culture festival and Linwu crape myrtle flower festival were opened in the "Crape Myrtle World" Park of Yumei Village Fenshi Town Linwu County. Party Secretary and Director of Municipal People's Congress Yi Pengfei attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the festival. Member and Deputy Director of the Provincial Tourism Development Committee Shang Bin attended the event and delivered a speech.

The crape myrtle is one of the cultural name cards of Linwu in recent years. In the "Crape Myrtle World" Park, blooming thousands of acres of crape myrtle flowers and beautiful rural landscape contrasted finely with each other, making visitors indulge in pleasures without stop. The Linwu folk art show, Linwu rural food exhibition, Linwu jade exhibition, Tongtian Mountain Scenic Area and Qin and Han Road project starting ceremony, investment promotion, first dragon culture in Linwu and other colorful activities will be held in this beautiful rural tourism festival.

Yi Pengfei pointed out in his speech that rural tourism is a new hot issue in tourism development and is one of the most potential and energetic tourist blocks. In recent years, basing on landscape resources, human resources, climate resources and location advantages, Chenzhou attracted visitors to participate in the experience through the construction of rural landscape and development of tourism routes, and vigorously promoted the development of the leisure vocation and rural tourism. The rural tourism has become an important part of global tourism in our city. This year, Chenzhou chose different places, highlighted different characteristics and shaped different themes in accordance with the spring, summer, autumn and winter seasons, to hold the beautiful rural tourism cultural festival, and launch a series of festival brands, to create panoramic and all season tour, and achieve good social and economic benefits. The rural tourism cultural festival has become an important platform for displaying and marketing rural tourism products and expanding the popularity and influence of Chenzhou tourism.

Yi Pengfei pointed out that the rural tourism development has unlimited potential and broad prospect. Chenzhou will continue to follow the global tourism strategic thinking, take implementing the overall image marketing of "splendid Hunan, different Chenzhou", improving the quality of tourism services, and cultivating and strengthening the main tourist market as the driving force, and vigorously promote the deep integration of rural tourism and poverty alleviation, industry poverty alleviation and beautiful countryside construction, to make rural tourism become an emerging industry of flourishing the rural economy and enriching the lives of farmers.

Shang Bin pointed out in his speech that as the "bridgehead" and "growth pole" of Hunan's opening up, Chenzhou vigorously implemented the beautiful rural construction, further promoted the integration and development of the rural industries, and explored a road to building a beautiful countryside with Chenzhou characteristics, to drive the rapid development of rural tourism.
